Registration Policies & Eligibility

Dates & Instructions:

GENERAL REGISTRATION:
Early registration will run until Friday, October 26 at $25 per person. At that point, late registration will open and will remain open for general registrants (current SJP members and recent alumni) until Tuesday, November 13 (exactly three days before the conference), after which point no registration will be processed. The late registration fee is $40 per person. Current SJP members may register here and recent SJP alumni may register here. We encourage groups to fundraise in order to offset registration fees and any travel costs; in order to request travel support from National SJP you must fundraise locally as well.

Travel & housing support forms are also open. To request travel support and housing support, you must also register for the conference. All housing requests must be submitted by Friday, November 2, which means that if you are requesting housing you must have registered by then as well (= a couple weeks earlier than the final registration deadline).

As usual, each SJP must register as
a group (although travel and housing support must be requested individually) and we ask that you not make any irreversible travel plans until you have registered as a group and received a two-step confirmation from our Registration team.

SPECIAL REGISTRATION:
Special registrants, which include tablers, vendors, confirmed workshop facilitators, confirmed speakers and performers, and those still in the process of starting an SJP, all have their own registration processes, forms, and deadlines.
  • Organizations wishing to be tablers, vendors, and program advertisers, you will contact us through this form (which includes a sliding scale for payment) by Friday, November 2.  (Once confirmed, any tablers and vendors who will be attending the conference in person will have a short, free follow-up registration form to complete.)
  • Confirmed workshop facilitators, speakers, and performers, you will not be able to register until you've received confirmation, but your SJP UCLA or National SJP point person will direct you to the appropriate form which has no fee and must be completed by Friday, November 2.
  • If you are still in the process of starting an SJP on your campus, you will use the general registration form for current SJP members above, but your deadline will be earlier, on Friday, October 26.

Eligibility & Caps:

Participants must be part of and register through an active SJP (or otherwise named campus Palestine solidarity group). Each SJP must register as a group. If you are not currently affiliated with an SJP but you are actively trying to start one on your campus, please email us at nsjp.register[@]gmail.com to talk further, or describe your situation in our general registration form, linked above, by Friday, October 26, and we will follow up with you.

ATTENDANCE CAPS:
  • SJPs and qualifying campus Palestine solidarity groups with 1-5 active members may send up to 2 delegates to the conference.
  • SJPs and qualifying campus Palestine solidarity groups with 6-10  active members may send up to 3 delegates to the conference.
  • SJPs and qualifying campus Palestine solidarity groups with 11-15 active members may send up to 4 delegates to the conference.
  • SJPs and qualifying campus Palestine solidarity groups with 15-20 active members may send up to 5 delegates to the conference.
  • SJPs and qualifying campus Palestine solidarity groups with 21 or more active members may send up to 6 delegates to the conference.
  • No group other than the host SJP and SJPs in the same region as the host SJP** may send more than 6 delegates to the conference.

**Caps are waived for SJPs in the same region as the host SJP. That means that this year, SJPs in our West region can send up to six members regardless of the number of active members they have. The host SJP (University of California–Los Angeles) has no cap, so long as everyone in attendance is actively involved with SJP UCLA.

We strongly recommend that all groups put an emphasis on sending younger members, or members who have never attended before, to the conference so that skills obtained at the conference can be passed on more effectively over the years.
